Mike Novogratz and Peter Thiel, two Billionaire investors, are big believers in Bitcoin and Crypto. They also like Shrooms. I learned this a few days ago from a Bloomberg article on alternative investments for wealthy people. (So not all of us.) All I could think about while reading the article was those two taking shrooms and investing in some alt coin. There is a punchline that must be in there somewhere…

Do you take their crypto belief seriously if they also believe in psychedelic investments? Some might think that maybe they will invest in anything speculative, and so they are perhaps less serious about Crypto. Others will read that article and go try to figure out how to invest in Mushrooms along with Bitcoin.

I say good for them, they are risk takers, and have the money to bet. Marijuana is becoming legal everywhere, so perhaps some sort of psychedelic will be next. I don’t know that we need any more drugs out there, since everyone is already on so many legal and non-legal substances. But if it proves to be helpful and not harmful, then maybe there is something to it.

From the Bloomberg article “There’s a renewed wave of research and testing the use of hallucinogenic compounds, primarily psilocybin, the active ingredient in “magic mushrooms,” to alleviate treatment-resistant depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction and other conditions.”

“It just feels like a cultural shift going on,” said billionaire Mike Novogratz, who’s an investor in Compass Pathways. “It’s been around for thousands of years; people kind of know its side effects.”

mushroom-investment-drugsThe article also mentions other investments, like art, exotic cars, warehouses, and yes even mentions Crypto! Not any specific token but a play on the tax companies serving the Crypto sector.
